Here are the tournament rules players must adhere to:
All tournament-related communication is in English. Due to potential connection-related bugs we recommend that players install the English version of Dawn of War - Definitive Edition.
Players are expected to maintain common sense etiquette. Please, be respectful to your fellow competitors as well as to the community as a whole.
All rounds are best of 3, apart from the grand final which is best of 5 games.
Players are expected to host custom games with the following game options: annihilate, take and hold, control area, game timer, starting resources: standard, enable cheats - no, starting location - random, game speed - normal, resource rate - standard.
Every round has it's own predetermined starting map. The loser of a game picks the subsequent map. A given map can only appear once per tournament round. The list of tournament-legal maps and the round-map pairings can be found below.
A player must provide 2 races upon registration and play these races exclusively over the course of the tournament. Prior to the first game of a round, the player with the lower tournament seed (higher in the bracket) hosts a custom game in the lobby and selects their race first. In subsequent games of a given round, the player who lost the previous game gets to select the next map but also selects their race first.
All game results must be documented. Both players are required to submit post-game screenshots and replays of all their games by tagging the main tournament admin, @Montanaz0r, on the nieznane channel.
If a disconnect occurs and the players cannot agree on who the winner should be, they should report to @Montanaz0r. The admins will analyze the replay in question and render their judgement.
The tournament bracket will be posted to the nieznane channel on the day of the tournament. All players are expected to start the first round at 2 pm CET. From the second round onward, prior to starting each round, @Montanaz0r will tag each pairing individually. Players are expected to remain vigilant and start the round in question no longer than 15 minutes after being tagged. @Montanaz0r will also tag pairings chosen to be be cast live on the stream. Players chosen in this way must wait for the casters to join their games as observers before starting.
The players are forbidden to use certain bugs that make the competition unfair. The list of banned bugs can be found below.
All players are explicitly forbidden from streaming their games on Twitch or any other streaming platforms.
The tournament admins reserve the right to make rulings based on their personal interpretation of the rules. The decision made by the admins is final.
Map pool:
Blood River (1st round starting map)
Fata Morga (2nd round starting map)
