High Ground Havoc Apex Tournament Rules

General Rules

1.1. All participants must be registered before the tournament deadline.
1.2. Entry fees (£5, £10, £15, £20) must be paid in full before competing.
1.3. Players must provide accurate in-game details for verification.
1.4. The tournament is open to all skill levels, but players must compete fairly and respectfully.
1.5. Organizers reserve the right to modify rules if necessary. Any changes will be communicated before the event.

Eligibility

2.1. Participants must be at least 16 years old. Players under 18 require parental consent.
2.2. Players must have a valid Apex Legends account and follow EA’s Terms of Service.
2.3. Any use of cheats, hacks, or exploits will result in an immediate ban from all future tournaments.
2.4. Players must have a stable internet connection and be responsible for their own technical setup.

Tournament Format & Match Rules

3.1. The tournament format (custom lobbies, kill races, point-based system) will be announced before each event.
3.2. Players must check in before their match times. Failure to check in may result in disqualification.
3.3. If a player disconnects, the match will continue unless there is a game-wide server issue.
3.4. In team-based formats, players must compete with their registered teammates.
3.5. Any disputes must be reported with valid evidence (e.g., screenshots, video clips) within 15 minutes of match completion.

In-Game Rules

4.1. Players must compete using their registered Apex Legends account.
4.2. No use of third-party software, cheats, aimbots, wallhacks, or any form of hacking is allowed.
4.3. Intentional teaming with opponents outside of your squad is prohibited.
4.4. No stream sniping or use of external communications to gain an unfair advantage.
4.5. Players must not exploit glitches, bugs, or unintended mechanics to gain an advantage.
4.6. Griefing teammates, sabotaging a match, or intentionally quitting mid-game is not allowed.
4.7. All matches must be played within the official Apex Legends servers designated for the tournament.

5.1. Results will be posted after the conclusion of the match and all results have been reviewed by observers
5.2. If a tiebreaker is needed, kill count will be the first deciding factor, followed by total damage dealt.

Conduct & Fair Play

6.1. All players must uphold sportsmanship and integrity.
6.2. Any form of harassment, hate speech, or toxic behavior will result in immediate disqualification.
6.3. Intentional teaming, cheating, or exploiting game mechanics is strictly prohibited.
6.4. The tournament organizers have the final say in all disputes and rulings.

Prizes & Payouts

7.1. Cash prizes will be distributed based on pre-determined placement rewards.
7.2. Winners must provide valid payment details (PayPal, bank transfer, etc.).
7.3. Payouts will be processed within 14 business days after verification.
7.4. Players are responsible for any applicable taxes on their winnings.

Technical Issues & Force Majeure

8.1. Organizers are not responsible for individual technical issues such as lag, disconnections, or hardware failures.
8.2. If Apex Legends servers experience widespread issues, affected matches may be rescheduled.
8.3. In case of unforeseen events (e.g., natural disasters, platform outages), the tournament may be postponed or cancelled.

9.1. Organizers reserve the right to update these rules as needed. Any changes will be announced to participants.

Prize winnings are awarded in GBP (£), but currency may vary depending on regional restrictions and exchange rate at point of being awarded.
