General Categories:
- Any% - Beat the game as fast as possible using skillful play.
- No Major Glitches - Complete the run without using game-breaking exploits
Universal Rules:
Timing
- Timer starts when you gain control of your character (not at main menu)
- Timer stops at the final input that triggers the ending sequence
- Use real-time (RTA) for timing, not in-game time
General Restrictions
- No external tools, cheat codes, or save file manipulation
- Must play on official, unmodified versions of the game
- No pausing to look up routes mid-run (preparation beforehand is fine)
Glitches and Exploits
- Allowed in Any%: Movement tech, sequence breaks, minor collision issues
- Not Allowed: Save corruption, memory manipulation, crashes that skip content
- When in doubt, community consensus decides what's "major"
Evidence Requirements
- Video recording of full run required for leaderboard submission
- Show game version at start of recording
- Audio must be included to verify real-time
Reset Policy
- Can reset and restart at any time
- Must restart completely (no save states or checkpoints)
Version Guidelines
- Original game version/platform in submission
- Generally use the most stable, widely available version
