Hello Paidians, and welcome to the November recap of our Good Game Glam with e.l.f Cosmetics!
Every first monday of each month, e.l.f. Cosmetics’ Twitch channel (elfYou) features a stream from e.l.f. Cosmetics’ Global Makeup Artist Anna Bynum and myself, Stephanie Peloza, Paidia Gaming’s Head Narrative Designer! Together, we host giveaways, spill about upcoming e.l.f. Cosmetics products and create looks inspired by gaming icons and legends.
This month, we wanted to mix it up and tackled the Cherry Girl makeup trend! We paired that with a game that has endlessly fun (and overwhelming) Overcooked 2.
As always, Anna created a gorgeous, glam look and I tackled something a little more wild! Below I'll share the steps each of us took and list all the products we used (available at elfcosmetics.com) so you can recreate these looks too!
Before diving into the scarlet cherry tones that are signature to this look, let’s start with our base and brows. Here’s what I’d recommend to achieve a daily gorgeous skin routine:
- Power Grip Primer (#1 primer in North America!)
- Camo CC Cream (great coverage and we love that built in SPF!)
- Hydrating Camo Concealer (buildable and light!)
- Halo Glow Setting Powder (for that satin sheen!)
- Instant Lift Brow Pencil (makes framing the face easy and quick!)
Anna’s soft Cherry Girl glam:
Anna kept her look focused on the pop of her red lipstick. For her eyes, she amplified her lash game with the new Lash XTNDR Mascara and a calm, neutral eyeshadow look.
For her lip game, she dove into the one and only O FACE Satin Lipstick in the iconic shade, No Regrets. This is the PERFECT cherry red lipstick.
My more graphic Cherry Girl inspired look:
To push my look a little more extreme, I added some cute flair with freckles! For this I’ll leverage a precision brush from the No Budge Brush Trio (essential!) and the No Budge Cream Eyeshadow in Sand Dune.
For eyes, I grabbed some cherry pinks. While I used a no longer available limited edition e.l.f. Cosmetics palette, you can get similar shades from their Bite-Size Eyeshadow Palette in Berry Bad. My goal was to create a nice wash of pink towards the back of my eyelid and have it blended well!
To wrap up my eyes I used:
Then I went for the holy grail red lip! I chose the Glossy Lip Stain in Fiery Red, a long lasting lip stain that gives lips a sheer pop of color and a subtle gloss. However, there are TONS of great lip products to achieve your best red lip - and they’d all be great for the upcoming holiday season!
Try these red lip products:
Both Anna and I always make sure to top our looks off with our favourite setting spray: the Stay All Night Micro-Fine Setting Mist!
I hope you enjoyed our Cherry Girl inspired looks! You can rewatch our recap of where we do the looks and get the fired up in the kitchen with Overcooked 2!
